Flat planes of terracotta and slate stack into something between mesa and horizon, while a weathered gray saguaro-like form reaches up from the lower right, its arms bent and sun-bleached. Broad curves of green and gold sweep low across the foreground like dune grass caught in wind, softening what is otherwise the studio’s most architectural, hard-edged landscape to date. Desert Echo trades the catalog’s usual botanical density for something starker and wide open — color blocked like canyon strata, with just enough organic movement at the edges to keep the land from going still. A departure in setting, but not in spirit: structure and growth, still negotiating the same old argument.
