About Me

I paint, create, and design to express my passion for the vibrant colors of life, producing work that resonates deeply with my spirit. I seek to counteract the ugliness beyond my door, channeling beauty, emotion, and intention into every stroke. I see my art as a way to connect with the goodness and glory of life itself, and each finished piece is a celebrated accomplishment.

I am a native Detroiter, shaped by a city with a deep and enduring artistic rhythm. My practice is influenced most profoundly by my grandfather, whose life demonstrated the power of creative determination. With only a sixth-grade education, he built a successful career as a photographer serving Black families throughout Catawba County, North Carolina. His work centered on portraits that honored everyday lives and preserved stories often left undocumented.

His devotion to image-making—and his self-taught mastery of the medium—earned him professional certification and left a lasting imprint on my artistic path. As his descendant, I carry forward this legacy through abstract imagery, using form, texture, and composition to explore memory, identity, and inherited narratives. My work reflects both the rhythm of my community and the quiet resilience of those who came before me.

While digital art remains my primary medium, I also produce hand-painted works. My practice is still evolving, yet my work has been exhibited at Riverside Art Gallery in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Detroit Artist Market and an original piece was selected for the outdoor window exhibition at PARC Art Gallery in Plymouth, Michigan.

Through my work, I aim to cultivate a community of new art collectors and to help create inspiring, artful spaces—at home and in the workplace—through meaningful, expressive imagery.
