Live Wire
Thick cords of crimson, teal, and cobalt cross and snap against pure black like cable caught mid-short, a jagged white zigzag running through the center where everything seems to arc and spark. Loops of green chain-link along the top edge and a corkscrewing pink line cutting diagonally through the whole composition read like current made visible — not flowing so much as jumping, popping from one connection to the next. Where the studio’s earthier work settles into its palette, Live Wire refuses to sit still: saturated color against true black, nothing softened, nothing blended. Another entry in the high-voltage lineage of Joyride and Current — but the starkest yet, with black doing as much work as the color crossing it.
